I use to buy organic dressings until I started reading the labels and realized although some of the ingredients were organic, there were others that were not so good for my family to eat. This led me on a journey that not only is fun but super easy & much more tasty than the store bought versions.
If you haven't ever made your own salad dressings, TWH is here to show you how easy & delicious they are to create. Salad dressings can be made in minutes and will last up to 4+ days in the refrigerstor.
Dressings can also be used as a sauce and marinade which makes them so versatile.
This Turmeric Ginger & Lemon Vinaigrette is a TWH favorite and you can choose between 2 methods on how quickly you want to make it.
Turmeric is known to reduce inflamation together with black pepper so not only is this dressing delicious it's healing for you & your family tooā¤ļø
Turmeric Ginger & Lemon Vinaigrette
3/4 cup EVOO
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
2 Tablesoons water
2 Tablespoons lemon juice (1 med lemon juiced)
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger or 1/2-1 inch fresh peeled ginger
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder or 2 cloves minced
1/4+ teaspoon salt to taste
1/4+ teaspoon pepper
To save time if in a hurry, combine the ingredients using the ground ginger & garlic options to easily blend in a mason jar & you're ready to go.
If time permits and you'd like a tangier flavor use fresh ginger and garlic cloves and mix together with the rest of the ingredients in a blender until well blended.
This dressing is delicious on grilled chicken, fish, potatoes & grains of choice in addition to salad. It also makes a delicious marinade for meat & fish.
