Salad Dressings Can be Easy & Fun To Make
TWH did a live Facebook series a few weeks ago on easy salads that you can make in Mason jars for easy grab & go meals. Questions and requests started pouring in on how to make them. I must make a confession that I did not make my own until I started reading labels. Oh my was I in for a big surprise! The favorite & pricey organic brands I had been buying for our family turned out to include nonorganic ingredients that were not healthy. READ your labels please! My shock from what I found on the labels led me on a journey learning how easy it is to make your own. Once you get the basics down you'll find that it's so easy and fun you'll want to create your own delicious masterpieces🌟
Italian Vinaigrette
Prep ~ 10 minutes
Servings ~ 10-12 (2-3 Tablespoons per serving)
Ingredients*
1 cup EVOO
1/2 cup red wine, white or basalmic vinegar
2 cloves garlic minced (if pressed for time you can use 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder)
1/4 teaspoon onion granules or powder
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon sea salt to taste
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
*Please use organic ingredients when available.
Directions
Combine all the ingredients in a 16 oz container. TWH suggests using Mason jars because they're so easy to mix and store your dressing in.
Shake vigoursly until well combined. If time permits you can make this dressing the day before and this will give the seasonings time to marinate together and enhance the already delicious flavor. This dressing will last up to 4+ days in your refridgerator.
The oil will solidify in the refridgerator so be sure and allow time for the dressing to come to room temperature or you can place the container in a bowl of warm water to speed up the process.
That's all there is to it to making your own delicious Italian vinaigrette that you can be assurd that you know what ingredients are in it🙂

About Me
My passion about health started in my teens when I first hand saw the effects of how illness can wreck havoc in a family growing up with parents who had serious health issues. I too struggled with losing weight & developed an eating disorder that I was able to heal by educating myself on healthier habits. It’s amazing what our bodies can do when we learn to take care of them like God intended. These experiences & challenges fueled my passion to be a life long student in pursuit of learning how to create healthier lifestyles where one can thrive at their optimal best. As a mother of 3 children & a wife of a traveling husband, I quickly learned how to implement healthy habits on the go so that I could be my healthy best for my family. This has evolved into my health coaching business Thriving With Health where I coach people to integrate simple & fun healthy 'bites’ throughout their day even on their most busiest & challenging ones. You are never too busy to take care of your health & I can show you how. Everyone has busy lifestyles and living at their optimum best is not only doable but can be fun as well!
