Chocolate Fudgesicles & Frozen Pops
Who doesn't love fudgesickles! Growing up as a kid they were a favorite and a refreshing treat that my friends and I enjoyed on those hot summer days. The problem with some of the commercial brands are that they are using processed ingredients that are not healthy for you. But that's not a hard problem to solve! This recipe is not only easy and yummy, it's healthy for you too! Invite your family & friends to jump in and make them with you. This can be a great opportunity and a fun activity that teaches healthier food choices and how to make nutritious treats too😊
You can make them as fudgesicles or use silicone molds and make chocolate frozen pops too!
For a creamier fudgesicle pop and some more bonus nutrients, add an avocado that is fully ripe but not yet brown. This is a great way to use your ripe avocado and they create a richer and creamier texture. Don't worry about tasting the avocado because the cocoa powder together with the maple syrup and the vanilla extract take care of that deliciously!
For variety you can add some mint, chocolate chips or nibs, nuts of seeds. Experiment and have some options available for you and your assistants to create their own healthy & tasty masterpieces as Thriving With Health likes to call them!
Place all the ingredients into your processor and blend well
NOTE: If using avocado for a creamier and richer version, make sure that all the avocado flesh has been blended thoroughly and that there aren't any bits of flesh left.
Pour in your molds of choice and freeze for at least 4 hours or ideally overnight. Run warm water over the base to loosen or just pop them out of their silicone mold. The pops will immediately start to melt so they are called 'pops' for a reason (pun intended:-). Just pop them into your mouth for a rich & delicious chocolate treat pleasure😋

About Me
My passion about health started in my teens when I first hand saw the effects of how illness can wreck havoc in a family growing up with parents who had serious health issues. I too struggled with losing weight & developed an eating disorder that I was able to heal by educating myself on healthier habits. It’s amazing what our bodies can do when we learn to take care of them like God intended. These experiences & challenges fueled my passion to be a life long student in pursuit of learning how to create healthier lifestyles where one can thrive at their optimal best. As a mother of 3 children & a wife of a traveling husband, I quickly learned how to implement healthy habits on the go so that I could be my healthy best for my family. This has evolved into my health coaching business Thriving With Health where I coach people to integrate simple & fun healthy 'bites’ throughout their day even on their most busiest & challenging ones. You are never too busy to take care of your health & I can show you how. Everyone has busy lifestyles and living at their optimum best is not only doable but can be fun as well!
