Lemon Ginger Turmeric Vinaigrette
I use to buy organic dressings until I started reading the labels and realized although some of the ingredients were organic, there were others that might not be healthy for our family to eat or digest. This led me on a delicious journey that has been a lot of fun creating super easy dressings that are by far much more fresh and flavorful compared to the store bought versions.
If you haven't ever made your own dressings, TWH is here to show you how easy and delicious they are to create. Salad dressings can be made in minutes and will last up to 1 week in the refrigerator in an airtight sealed container.
Dressing can also be used on your grains, steamed veggies, grilled meat or fish and even as a marinade. If you want to make it creamier you can add some tahini to thicken.
This Vinaigrette is a TWH favorite and you can choose between two methods to prepare depending on how quickly you want to make it. We've also included some tasty and creative options to change up the flavor depending on what you are serving.
Experiment adding Italian seasoning, dijon mustard, red pepper flakes, cumin or curry powder.
Turmeric is known to reduce inflammation when combined with black pepper so not only is this vinaigrette delicious it's healing for you and your family too❤️
Lemon Ginger Turmeric Vinaigrette
1 cup EVOO
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
2 Tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 Tablespoon finely minced fresh ginger or 1/8 Teaspoon ground
1+ clove garlic minced or 1/8th Teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/4 Teaspoon ground pepper
Sea salt to taste
Optional Creations
Dash cayenne pepper
1 Teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 Teaspoon cumin
1 Teaspoon chili powder
1/4 Teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 Teaspoon Dijon mustard
1-2 Tablespoons tahini to thicken
To save time if in a hurry, combine the ingredients using the ground ginger and garlic powder to easily blend in a container like a mason jar, shake until blended and you are ready to serve!
If time permits and you'd like a tangier flavor use fresh ginger and garlic cloves and mix together with the rest of the ingredients in a blender until well blended.
This dressing is also delicious on grilled chicken, fish, potatoes, veggies and grains. It a delicious marinade for meat and fish too.

About Me
My passion about health started in my teens when I first hand saw the effects of how illness can wreck havoc in a family growing up with parents who had serious health issues. I too struggled with losing weight & developed an eating disorder that I was able to heal by educating myself on healthier habits. It’s amazing what our bodies can do when we learn to take care of them like God intended. These experiences & challenges fueled my passion to be a life long student in pursuit of learning how to create healthier lifestyles where one can thrive at their optimal best. As a mother of 3 children & a wife of a traveling husband, I quickly learned how to implement healthy habits on the go so that I could be my healthy best for my family. This has evolved into my health coaching business Thriving With Health where I coach people to integrate simple & fun healthy 'bites’ throughout their day even on their most busiest & challenging ones. You are never too busy to take care of your health & I can show you how. Everyone has busy lifestyles and living at their optimum best is not only doable but can be fun as well!
