With the holidays quickly approaching, healthy and tasty appetizer can be fun and quick! Nutritious appetizers don't have to be boring, complicated or time consuming to prepare.
What better time during the holiday season to invite your family and friends to help you with the food prep and they can join in on the fun to make their own too! You can pre cut up the veggies and chop the garnishes before hand and simply set out with spreads and let the creating begin!
This can be a great opportunity to teach those that you love and care about how to prepare their own delicious and healthy bites to eat! In fact this can be a creative activity for the kids and grandchildren too. It's never too early to teach healthy eating and why not make it fun too!
To make it even more creative you can cut out firmer veggies like zucchini, radishes, jicama and bell peppers with your favorite small holiday or favorite cookie cutters.
TWH focuses on eating food that loves you back so we like to use hearts. The kids love to do this and it might even encourage and motivate them to eat their veggies too❤️

Appetizer Bites in Minutes
Ingredients
Sliced in slices, strips, squares and (optional) cookie cutter shapes
Zucchini
Cucumbers
Bell peppers
Mini Peppers
Jicama
Radishes (larger best to use as a base)
Romaine chips ~ bottom 1/3rd of leaf near the bottom cut in strips or squares (these work well in place of chips for dips too:-)

Pre Chilled Cucumbers and Romaine in Ice Water Will Keep Them Crisp Before Serving

Hummus
Guacamole
Bean dip
Cashew dip
Salsa
Chicken, tuna or egg salad
Garnishes
Avocados
Red/green bell
Radishes
Green or red onion
Chives
Olives
tomatoes chopped
Jalapeños seeded
hard boiled egg whites
Spices
Add a dash of your favorite spices

My passion about health started in my teens when I first hand saw the effects of how illness can wreck havoc in a family growing up with parents who had serious health issues. I too struggled with losing weight & developed an eating disorder that I was able to heal by educating myself on healthier habits. It’s amazing what our bodies can do when we learn to take care of them like God intended. These experiences & challenges fueled my passion to be a life long student in pursuit of learning how to create healthier lifestyles where one can thrive at their optimal best. As a mother of 3 children & a wife of a traveling husband, I quickly learned how to implement healthy habits on the go so that I could be my healthy best for my family. This has evolved into my health coaching business Thriving With Health where I coach people to integrate simple & fun healthy 'bites’ throughout their day even on their most busiest & challenging ones. You are never too busy to take care of your health & I can show you how. Everyone has busy lifestyles and living at their optimum best is not only doable but can be fun as well!
