Chocolate and pumpkin are a yummy combination and especially so when they are made together into a holiday fudge! This recipe is so simple it aligns perfectedly with TWH's 'Simply Delicious & Nutritious' goals! So if you have a sweet tooth you will love this treat and it will love you back because it isn't full of unhealthy processed ingredients. That's what's so cool about making your own because you know exactly what's in them. You can add a little more or less maple syrup to control the sugar content and sweetness you prefer. Kids can easily make them and it's never too early to get them on board making their own tasty and healthy treats❣️
Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Fudge
Time: 10 minutes
Yield: 12
Ingredients
*1/4 cup coconut oil melted
1/2 cup nut nutter of choice crunchy is fine too
1/3 cup pumpkin puree
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
1/4 cup chocolate chips or nibs
Sprinkle of salt
Directions
Melt coconut oil and mix with nut butter until blended.
Add the pumpkin puree, maple syrup, pumpkin spice and mix well.
Pour into a parchment lined or oiled fudge pan.
Sprinkle chocolate chips over the top and add a dash of salt if desired.
Cover the pan and put in the freezer for 20+ minutes or until the fudge is firm.
Cut into squares and store in an air tight container in the freezer. Fudge will stay good for several months.
Parchment liners make removing the fudge and clean up so easy!
