4th of July Tasty Bites That Love You Back❣️
Start With The Basics
This is Thriving With Health's kind of recipe that I like to call a 'KISSED' recipe meaning 'Keeping It Super Simple Every Day'.
It’s also a bite that we like to say loves you back because it’s not only delicious it’s nutritious too❣️
This can be a snack or an appetizer that is quick to create and a light and lower calorie option that is filling without feeling too full.
All you need are some sliced, cubed or you can use cookie cutters to make fun shapes of watermelon, creamy goat cheese rolled into tiny balls and shelled pistachios or nuts of choice to garnish on top.
A beautiful and tasty choice to serve at luncheons, dinner party celebrations and especially on the 4th of July.
Using cookie cutters is a fun and creative touch that your kiddos may want to help you make them too❣️
Watermelon Bites
Time: 5 minutes
Servings: This will depend on the size of your slices, cubes or shapes that you cut out.
Ingredients:
•1 watermelon cut into approximately 1-2 inch slices, cubes or shapes
•4-8 oz of spreadable goat or sheep cheese*
*Note: if lactose intolerant check the label to make sure your goat or sheep cheese is 100% and not combined with cow's milk.
•1/2+ cup shelled whole pistachios raw or roasted, salted or unsalted whichever you prefer.
Directions:
Roll up small dollops of goat cheese and place on the center of the cut watermelon.
Top each piece with 1 pistachio
Optional:
Add thinly sliced or chopped red onion and drizzle your favorite salad dressing on top.
Balsamic vinaigrette is delicious ❤️
