They offer even more healthier benefits than the seeds. You can add them to your smoothies, salads or as a garnish. They are so easy to grow and they are very pretty too🌱
💚High in calcium
Great for strong teeth and bones. Calcium also benefits your cardiovascular system too. Boosts heart health and enables nutrients and oxygen to reach throughout your body.

They contain omega-3 fatty acids known to improve brain and cognitive functioning. There is current research suggesting that they may help to prevent Alzheimer's.

Chlorophyll is excellent for our blood. Chia microgreen vitamins include K, E, C, & A.

How To Grow ~
💚Use a tray or a small pot that can retain moisture without water pooling on the surface. Seeds will be scattered on top of the soil.
💚Make sure your seeds are packaged for sprouting or if using seeds from your health food store that they are from the states. If coming from out of the country they may have been treated to comply with US standards which could affect their sprouting capabilities.
💚Spray/mist the seeds once you have scattered them over the soil. You can cover them with plastic wrap or a lid to retain moisture but to keep it simple I place mine on my window sill in the kitchen.
💚Once they have begun to lean over it is time to harvest in about 10+ days and you can cut them at soil level and rinse with cold water. They are great in smoothies and salads. You don't want to cook them as that will destroy their nutrients.
💚If you don't plan on using them immediately, minimize watering about 8 hours before you harvest them. This will make them dryer and easier to store.
This is a really fun project for your kids and your grandkids to jump on board and learn how easy it is to grow healthy plants right in their kitchens that they can eat💚
